Elon Musk is the business genius behind, among other things, Space X, his private rocket company that is on its way to revolutionizing space travel.
You can use these quotes to inspire yourself to bigger and better things. (Or should that be higher heights?)
Failure is an option here. If things are not failing, you are not innovating enough.
As we explored in a prior article, failure is part of the process. Fail frequently! Fail often! Failures are the stepping stones to your success.
Don’t be afraid of new arenas.
Haanel wrote a lot about fear, or, to be more precise, the elimination of fear. As you move forward, do so boldly and confidently, secure in the knowledge that everything will be just fine.
You want to have a future where you’re expecting things to be better, not one where you’re expecting things to be worse.
Here, Mr. Musk seems to be channeling Dr. Emil Coue, whom Haanel quoted in Mental Chemistry: “Every day and in every way, I am getting better and better.”
If something is important enough, even if the odds are against you, you should still do it.
Passion. This quote refers to one’s passion. If something is important to you, then you will move mountains to accomplish it.
The first step is to establish that something is possible; then probability will occur.
This fits perfectly with my personal favorite quote from The Master Key System: “You must first have the knowledge of your power; second, the courage to dare; and third, the faith to do.”
Then live that.
You’ll be glad that you did.
I think it is possible for ordinary people to choose to be extraordinary.
Or as Haanel wrote: “You can be what you will to be!”
When asked how he learned about rockets and rocketry, Elon Musk replied, “I read books.” You should read books, too, because there’s a lot to learn if you want to be great.
